Lachlan Robinson takes Round 1 Junior Victory

Brand Racing driver Lachlan Robinson took a hard-fought victory in the Junior X30 final at round 1 of the 2017 / 18 X30 Challenge UAE.

Robinson put his X30 powered Tony Kart on pole position in timed qualifying but unfortunately a technical problem meant he didn’t take the start in the first heat race. An impressive drive in the prefinal saw Robinson drive from the back of the field of 18 drivers to finish in 3rd position for the prefinal.

Starting in 3rd position of the final Robinson soon showed impressive speed to take the lead early on in the race and maintain the top position from a hard charging Jamie Day. In the closing laps of the final Robinson controlled the race lead to take top honours at the chequered flag.
